Michael Banner is President and CEO of the Los Angeles LDC, Inc. (LDC), a mission-driven community development financial advisory firm. Under his leadership, LDC has delivered over $1 billion in capital to projects in low-income neighborhoods and communities of color. A former commercial banker, Banner has been a leading advocate for equitable investment and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) accountability since 1992. He is recognized for aligning borrower and investor needs, revitalizing struggling finance organizations, and generating both market-rate returns and high social impact. A longtime Urban Land Institute leader, he received ULI’s Robert M. O’Donnell Award in 2016.
